The last weekend was busy for the developer of Angry Birds. It was confirmed by Rovio that the game would be headed to the 3DS and Wii. It is expected to happen later this month. Moreover, the company announced plans regarding a Valentine’s Day version as well as rolled out a secret of Rio during Super Bowl.
On Saturday, Rovio tweeted that 3DS and Wii versions of Angry Birds would come later this year. The company is going to offer downloads as well as digital distribution on all platforms.
Back in January it was announced by Sony that Angry Birds would be offered as a mini game on the PS3 and PSP. The game would include 63 levels. Speculations about Angry Birds on popular game consoles first started to emerge last November when it was disclosed by Peter Vesterbacka, chief executive of Rovio that the company was working on a version that would be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, as well as Wii game consoles.
Until then, users are able to entertain themselves with a Valentine’s Day version that according to the game developer will hit the market today. It will be available for iOS and Android users. The new version will be added into Angry Birds Seasons, which is known to be the holiday version of Angry Birds. The holiday version already has Christmas and Halloween options. In case you have downloaded Seasons, you will receive the Valentine’s Day option through today’s update.
Also Rovio revealed a secret code, due to which users are able to access Rio-centric level of the game. Rovio along with 20th Century Fox announced a new Angry Birds game. The game will be unveiled in conjunction with the movie of studio, which is called “Rio.”
